MEET THE TEAM

MARC BOURGOIN • President

Marc is a Maine native and is referred to, by those closest to him, as “the genuine article”. His passion for paddling knows no bounds. He has developed an ardent love of education in the outdoors through 30 formative years of leading wilderness expeditions as well as teaching and coaching alpine ski racing. For 10 years he taught environmental education and led expeditions for the Chewonki Foundation in Wiscasset, Maine. In 1997 he formed Compass Rose Expeditions to lead personal clients around the world. He has led expeditions in Thailand, Ireland, Canada, Southern Chile, The Great Lakes, and of course, the Coast of Maine. Marc’s focus is leading production at Lincoln’s advanced manufacturing center, supporting new product development efforts and managing sales.

He is one-of-a-kind and a tremendous asset to our team.  He and his wife Lisa live in upstate New York where they paddle their Isle au Haut and Seguin as often as possible. When they’re not paddling they’re linking turns over at Whiteface.
